Grishpul advised homeowners to meet with at least three to five contractors for larger projects. He also introduced a free tool called AI Bid Compare, which helps users analyze and compare multiple contractor estimates. “You upload multiple estimates that you’ve received. The system analyzes each of the bids and then lines them up side by side so you can have an apples-to-apples comparison,” said Grishpul. “A payment schedule ideally should be evenly spread throughout the duration of the project. Always leave 5% or 10% as payment at the very end,” he said.
