Per Deadline, Sullivan will play Sergeant Nix, who lands a big promotion to watch commander in the Pierce County Police Department in Washington. However, Nix struggles in the new job as his passion and heart remain on patrol and on the streets.
The pilot for The Rookie: North is slated to film in Vancouver next month. It will follow Alex Holland’s midlife crisis that forces him to leave Los Angeles behind for Washington and begin a new career. The Rookie creator Alexi Hawley is behind the latest spin-off, as isNathan Fillion.
If The Rookie: North gets a pickup order, it will be the second spin-off in the franchise. The series was The Rookie: Feds, which only lasted one season.
