Miami’s Mario Cristobal may be an NFL head coaching candidate this offseason.
According to NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger, the Pittsburgh Steelers are “very interested” in Cristobal as a potential replacement for longtime head coach Mike Tomlin.
“I’m not out here trying to play reporter or doing any of that nonsense, but I hear the Steelers are very interested in Mario Cristobal,” Baldinger said on The Best Football Show. “I think Mario Cristobal actually would really translate to the NFL … The way that Mario coached that team reminded me of what old school coaches used to do.”

Cristobal has built Miami into one of the nation’s best programs. The Hurricanes are 23-6 over the past 2 seasons and reached the CFP title game this year, but ultimately lost to Indiana.
