ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — After Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott was fired following a loss in the playoffs, members of Bills Mafia are honoring all he’s done for the team with a special tribute.
Dozens of volunteers are building a snow sculpture in Orchard Park outside the restaurant Prohibition 2020. The sculpture will feature icons like the hat and headset that McDermott wore during games.
“We’ve done sculptures of just about everything Buffalo Bills, from the players to the charging buffaloes and everything in between, and never done anything for Sean,” said Erik Jones, a snow sculpture artist. “And thought this would be, it just wouldn’t be fair for Sean to leave Buffalo without having his own snow sculpture. So we wanted to do something specifically for him,” Jones said.
The group expected to finish the sculpture on Friday afternoon. It will stand 8 feet tall and 16 feet wide.
