The tour follows the band's announcement that their 11th studio album is in the works and will tentatively release sometime in April. The new album will mark the band's first since 2018 and will be a double LP.
Corrosion of Conformity was formed in 1982 by guitarist Woody Weatherman, bassist Mike Dean and drummer Reed Mullin. Vocalist Benji Shelton joined shortly after to complete the band's original lineup. Since then, the lineup has undergone major changes, with the current lineup consisting of original guitarist Weatherman, vocalist Pepper Keenan, bassist Bobby Landgraf and drummer Stanton Moore.

During their 2026 U.S. tour, Corrosion of Conformity is set to play 32 shows and will be supported by Whores and Crobot, two popular metal rock bands.
