Miss Hessie Mae Haddock Jones, age 92, of Lebanon went to sleep in death on January 17, 2026. She was born in Lafayette TN on September 13, 1933. Her parents were James Luther and Sarah Lee Haddock. Also preceding her in death is a brother, Ottis Ray Haddock, sister Myrtle Fay Wessle, grandson Nathaniel Jones, and son-in-law Clayton Gregory. All six of her children are surviving: Marie (Paul Scott) Tomlinson of Lebanon, Kathy (Carol Harper) Jones of Hartsville, Katherine and Danny Stafford of Lebanon, Sammy and Alicia Jones of Hartsville, Irene Gregory of Carthage, and Wilson Jones of Lebanon; 11 grandchildren: Steve Tomlinson Jr. and Rhonda Harper, Eric and Tara Smith, Lollie and Cly Oldham, Daniel Harper, Mandy and Keo Bute, Kimberly and Mikey D’Antignac, Caila Henley, Titus Henley, Joshua and Avery Mofield, and Matthew and Wendy Scott; 21 great-grandkids; 11 great great-grandkids; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed going out for drives on country roads and getting lost because you never know what you might discover. She also enjoyed yard sales, her soap operas, and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook, especially the photos they shared.
The Funeral Service, conducted by Jack McCall, is 1 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026, in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery will follow the service. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday from noon until the service at 1 p.m.
