Robert Luna age 71 of Smithville passed away Thursday morning, January 15, 2026, at his sister residence in Smithville. He was born January 10, 1955, to his parents the late Tom and Jean Roberts Luna. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tressia Luna; son, Gregory Brice Luna. Mr. Luna was a member of Mt. Hope The Baptist Church and worked in the stamping plant at Nissan. He is survived by his children, Regina (Shane) Turner of Smithville, Justin (Connie) Luna of Altamont; four grandchildren, Darrian (James) Harper of Sparta, Allan Luna of Smithville, James (Hayden) Luna of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA and Elaina Turner of Smithville; great-grandchildren, Alex Turner and Carson Harper; sisters, Judy Bowman of Gordonsville and Doris Flickinger of Smithville. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday January 18, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Andy Estes and David Frazier officiating with burial to follow in Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday 3 PM till 7PM and Sunday 11 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Luna family.
