One of the standout offensive players at the FCS level is about to get another taste of big-time football, as former Southern Utah running back Joshua Dye has reportedly transferred to Ole Miss.
On3 reported Sunday that Dye visited Oxford over the weekend and committed to the Rebels following his trip. The sophomore will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

He then transferred to Southern Utah for the 2025 season and promptly became the FCS’ leading rusher with 1,832 yards on 295 carries and 28 touchdowns to earn the UAC Offensive Player of the Year nod and first-team FCS All-American honors.
Dye now joins a Rebels running back room already brimming with talent, as the Rebels return Doak Walker Award finalist Kewan Lacy, who signed to return to the program in 2026 during the program’s first-ever CFP run. Lacy finished 2025 ranked third in the FBS with 1,567 rushing yards on 306 carries with 24 touchdowns.
Ole Miss (13-2) has added 24 players from the transfer portal after advancing to the CFP semifinals – where the Rebels bowed out with a loss to Miami in the Fiesta Bowl.
