Egregiously, Michelin stars were never meant for taco stands — not in the modern era when the guide’s definition of greatness has so often meant white tablecloths, hushed dining rooms and pricey tasting menus. But every so often, food that’s that good force the rules to bend.
On Thursday, Jan. 22, Orange County gets a rare taste of that shift when celebrated Mexico City chef Arturo Rivera brings his Michelin-starred tacos to Puesto’s Irvine space for a single-night Taco Takeover event. This will be his sole appearance in the region.
