Several people were arrested early Wednesday morning in connection with a Thornton shooting that killed one person and injured another, police said.
Thornton police first posted about the shooting in the 9600 block of Huron Street at 5:16 a.m. Wednesday.
A suspect vehicle connected to the shooting fled the scene, leading Thornton officers on a brief chase before stopping about 7 miles away near W. 56th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, just off of Interstate 76, police said.
Officers found one person who had been shot at the original scene on Huron Street, and paramedics took that victim to the hospital, police said.
The second person who had been shot was found inside the suspect’s car after the pursuit, police said. That person later died and will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
