Several lanes of an intersection in a northwest suburb of Chicago were shut down Tuesday afternoon after a crash involving multiple vehicles, police said.
Around 3:30 p.m., aerial footage captured by NBC Chicago Sky 5 showed several emergency vehicles blocking traffic as they responded to a multi-vehicle crash in the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Quentin Road in Deer Park.
Two badly damaged vehicles could be seen in the video alongside an ambulance, fire truck and several emergency responders.
Authorities said people involved sustained life-threatening injuries, through no additional information was immediately provided.
