This year’s Blue Note Jazz Festival also marks the first event since the Blue Note Jazz Club arrived in Los Angeles. It has hosted a mix of artists since opening in August, including Charlie Puth and Killer Mike.
Before the Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival rebranded as the Blue Note Jazz Festival, it served as an annual celebration of jazz at the iconic Hollywood Bowl, highlighting the rich and evolving traditions of the genre and reimagining the Playboy Jazz Festival, which began at the Bowl in 1979.
