The Chicago Bears sent Green Bay packing with their insane come-from-behind win on Wild Card Saturday.
So, who’s next on the Bears schedule?
Well, your guess is as good as mine. But we do know it will be one of two teams — the Philadelphia Eagles or the Los Angeles Rams.
Mandatory Credit: David Banks-Imagn ImagesAfter slaying the boogeyman Packers twice in the span of 21 days, the Bears are moving in the postseason. Up next on the playoff slate will be a marquee matchup between two of the NFC’s best teams. The Bears will face either the Philadelphia Eagles or the Los Angeles Rams. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers — who will provide the competition for the Eagles today — cannot be a Bears opponent in the divisional round because they are the lowest-remaining seed in the postseason. If the Niners pull off the upset, that would send them to Seattle to face the Seahawks.
I CAN’T STOP WATCHING THIS CALEB WILLIAMS THROW
So if you were looking forward to a potential rematch with San Francisco, the only way it could happen is if both teams make it to the NFC Championship Game. But we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
Bears Playoff Schedule: Who’s Their Next Opponent?
LOS ANGELES RAMS (12-5)
The Los Angeles Rams were in the running for the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs before losing to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night football in Week 17 took them out of consideration for the top spot. Following the Week 17 loss with a victory in Week 18 against the Arizona Cardinals locked them into a wild-card spot as the fifth seed. Let’s keep it a buck. The Rams are a dangerous group. Led by Sean McVay (one of the best head coaches in the league) and quarterback Matthew Stafford (an MVP candidate in his age-37 season after leading the NFL in passing yards and touchdown tosses), the Rams are a formidable foe with an offense that ranks first in points scored (30.5 per game) and allowed the 10th-fewest points (20.4 per game) on the defensive side of the ball.

You may care to know that the Bears have won the last two games in this series played at Soldier Field, including this triumph in a game played in September 2024. It’s hard to believe how much has changed since then, but I am grateful for all of it.
David Banks-Imagn ImagesPHILADELPHIA EAGLES (11-6)
An Eagles win against the 49ers would create a rematch of the Week 13 Black Friday game between Chicago and Philly. It would be quite the test for a Bears team that would try to re-create the formula that led to their straight-up bullying of the Eagles on their home turf in an island game that served as a moment that verified that Chicago’s football team was for real. But on the other side of the coin, it would be quite the challenge for an Eagles bunch that got punked to go on the road wanting to prove itself.
REVISIT THE BEARS BIG BLACK FRIDAY WIN VS. THE EAGLES
The Eagles offense ranked 19th in scoring (22.3 points per game), but still boasts a defense that limited the opposition to just 19.1 points per game — which was the fifth-best in the NFL this past season. A win by Philly would send Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio to Chicago for the first time since January 2019 in what turned out to be his final game as the Bears’ DC. Oh, the storylines will certainly be juicy if a Bears-Eagles playoff game comes to fruition.
