The Purdue Boilermakers hosted Illinois for their last home meet of the 2025-2026 swim season and their Senior Day. Purdue beat Illinois 194 to 101, improving their dual meet record to 5 – 0

The Purdue women won all but two events at the meet, including both relays and both diving events.

The 200 medley relay opened with the team of Abby Marcukaitis (25.06), Meghan Sharma (27.90), Lara Phipps (25.66), and Hannah Hill (20.50) swam 1:39.12 to come in two seconds ahead of the Illinois team of Sophia Paduano (25.65), Kayla Duran (28.35), Chloe Diner (24.43), and Isabella Wilhelm (22.78) who touched in 1:41.21.

In the final event of the meet, the 400 freestyle relay, Purdue again came out on top with their team of Hannah Hurley (50.49), Phipps (48.99), Adele Sands (51.01), and Hill (50.97) swimming 3:21.46 to touch three seconds ahead of the Illinois ‘A’ team’s time of 3:24.62.

Illinois’ relay was made up of Martina Cibulkova (51.30), Eva Allan (51.31), Maggie Adler (50.49), and Marin McAndrew (51.52).

Reagan Mattice won the 1000 free for Purdue in 9:56.29, just off her season best 9:54.82 from the Oakland vs Purdue vs Cincinnati meet at the end of October.

She also won the 500 freestyle in 4:51.82, missing her season and personal best of 4:47.36 from the Ohio State Invite in November.

Abby Marcukaitis also won two events, swimming 53.62 in the 100 backstroke and 1:55.70 in the 200 backstroke. Both swims were just off her season best times of 53.23 and 1:55.48 respectively.

Lara Phipps was the final two-event swimming winner on the Purdue side. She won the 100 freestyle in 49.75, coming in more than a second ahead of Hannah Hill, who was fresh off a win in the 50 free at 22.91. Hill touched in 50.92 to finish 2nd overall.

Phipps also won the 100 fly in 54.59, just out touching Illinois’ Chloe Diner, who swam 54.79 for 2nd.

Senior diver Daryn Wright took both diving events as the only Boilermaker diver at the meet. She won the 1 meter in 336.45 and the 3 meter in 374.48.

Purdue’s Other Individual Event Winners

200 free: Caitlin Hurley — 1:48.95 100 breast: Meghan Sharma — 1:01.99 200 fly: Campbell Scofield — 1:59.42

Both Illinois event wins came from senior Sara Jass. She started her meet with a 3rd place in the 200 freestyle, touching in 1:50.20.

She went on to take the top time in the 200 breaststroke at 2:13.05, just off her season and lifetime best of 2:12.90 from the Iowa Invitational in November.

Finally, Jass won the last event of the meet, the women’s 200 IM, where she swam 2:00.70 to touch just over two tenths ahead of teammate Chloe Diner, who swam 2:00.98. She made up a four tenth deficit over the final 50, splitting 27.87 to catch Diner’s 28.52 for the win.
