Aleppo, Jan.10 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Army has confiscated on Friday several heavy and medium weapons inside the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo city, which the SDF organization had been using to target the city’s residential areas.

Combing operations are still ongoing in the neighborhood ‘s streets, proceeding slowly and with extreme caution in order to protect the lives of civilians, whom the SDF organization has prevented from leaving the area and used as human shields, the Media and Communication Directorate at the Ministry of Defense told SANA.

The Syrian Arab Army Operations Command had previously announced the launch of a clearing operation to remove the criminal SDF presence from the neighborhood, after all deadlines granted to it had expired, noting that the area will be handed over to security forces and state institutions immediately after the completion of the combing operations to begin their work directly.
