HENRIETTA, N.Y. — The Henrietta Fire District says crews are responding to a major power issues in the area of I-90 and East River Road Friday afternoon.
The district says it has gotten over a dozen reports of smoke or fire coming from electrical panel boxes in the following Henrietta neighborhoods:
Farrel Road Extension Elm Crest Rise Hidden View Mossy OakFire companies are currently working in these areas along with RG&E, the district says. RG&E says the power outages are due to downed wires due to strong winds. The company says crews are responding.
According to RG&E’s outage map, about 1,884 customers are without power in Henrietta, with over 3,200 customers in Monroe County without power.
