NBA Mock Draft: New Look Hawks Pick Top-3? Bulls (Almost) in the Top-10! ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

Here I am, putting together an NBA Mock Draft. And even if I aim for the most realistic version possible, this is a league where, clearly, anything is possible.

It’s been a weird week in the NBA. We watched a four-time NBA All-Star, Trae Young, still in his prime, get salary-dumped. We saw Rick Carlisle finally reach 1,000 career wins, a milestone that took nearly a month to secure because his team dropped thirteen straight games along the way. And somehow, we even saw an indoor basketball game between the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat get canceled because of rain.

This week’s NBA Mock Draft features a big jump for Keaton Wagler. The freshman guard out of Illinois is averaging 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, and a steal per game, quietly climbing into lottery range. Wagler has proven he can do a bit of everything; he’s already posted multiple 10-assist games, along with several nights pulling down seven or eight boards.

At 6’6″, he’s a guard who can score effortlessly and fill up the stat sheet, and that kind of player is more of a need than a want in today’s NBA.
