The Chicago Bears are preparing for their first home playoff game in seven years, and they’re pulling out all the stops for fans.
According to a press release from the Bears, one of the many activations they are planning in the city this weekend will be a series of Bears-themed ice sculptures, which will pop up around the Loop ahead of their game with the Green Bay Packers.
On Friday, the Bears will send out a team of performers, including their mascot Staley, for a series of appearances in downtown Chicago. The team’s “Monster Squad,” as well as the Bears’ Drumline, will also be involved, with giveaways and live entertainment scheduled during the day on Friday.
The city will also see several landmarks lit up in Bears-themed colors, including the colonnades at historic Soldier Field, which will be lit up in blue and orange to celebrate the Monsters of the Midway.
Union Station will also get in on the fun, with a light-up display of head coach Ben Johnson’s signature post-victory phrase this weekend. Fans will be able to take photos with the “Good, Better, Best” sign, getting into the gameday spirit ahead of Saturday’s big game.
Kickoff between the Bears and Packers is set for 7 p.m., and the game will air on Prime Video.
