Aleppo , Jan. 8 (SANA) The Ministry of Interior announced the deployment of Internal Security Forces in Aleppo’s Ashrafieh neighborhood, as part of a plan to restore security and stability in areas recently handed over to the state following the withdrawal of armed groups affiliated with the SDF organization.
The ministry explained via its Telegram channel that its units began their mission to protect civilians and prevent violations, in coordination with army units stationed in the neighborhood.
Earlier , the Syrian government stated that the current unrest and escalation in Aleppo are a direct result of the SDF’s breach of the 1 April agreement, which undermined previous understandings and opened the door to tension and instability.
