LE ROY, N.Y. — A Le Roy police detective’s car was hit by a drunk driver Friday just before noon. The crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 19 and Munson Street.
Police said the other driver, a 29-year-old man, failed to stop at the intersection, leading to the collision. Investigators found open beer cans inside his vehicle.
The man was charged with driving while intoxicated. He has two prior DWI convictions.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital, but no one was seriously injured.
