ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Low clouds stick around Wednesday night, and we may see some patchy fog through the overnight. Thursday starts off cloudy, but we should see some sunshine returning into the afternoon. The blue sky will be short-lived, with clouds returning ahead of our next storm system moving in on Friday.
This is the storm that will push much milder air into the region on Friday, and to some extent Saturday. Highs on Friday will surge into the mid and upper 50s. There’s a chance some spots may push 60 degrees. The record high for Friday’s date is 65 degrees, which should be safe. But that milder air will come with a breeze and some showers at times. The combination of the milder air and some of that rain will continue to eat away at what snow we have left on the ground. Saturday will also be somewhat mild, but that milder air will be fleeting, as another cold front races through with our next storm system. Temperatures will drop back into the 30s for Sunday, along with a gusty wind and some snow showers developing by the afternoon and evening.
Next week starts off fairly quiet, with seasonably chilly air on Monday and Tuesday. Another storm system moves through by the middle of next week, which will likely bring another push of chillier air for the end of next week.
