Chicago Bears Injury Report: Key Players Remain Limited at Practice ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

The second installment of the Chicago Bears injury report ahead of the team’s upcoming playoff game against the Green Bay Packers is out. And while I suppose the bad news is that there aren’t too many updates to share, I suppose that it could be framed as good news that notable players working their way back from injuries weren’t downgraded.

Wide receivers DJ Moore and Rome Odunze were limited participants on Wednesday’s Bears injury report. As was cornerback Kyler Gordon, who was designated to return from injured reserve on Tuesday and could make his way back into the lineup for Saturday’s game. Gordon hasn’t played since the team’s Black Friday victory against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13. As for Odunze, this is three consecutive limited participation practices for the second-year receiver. Quarterback Caleb Williams seems confident Odunze will be back. I’d feel better about that possibility if the University of Washington product could squeeze a full participation designation on Thursday.

Also remaining as a limited participant at practice was left tackle Ozzy Trapilo. At least offensive lineman Braxton Jones, who began the year as Chicago’s starting left tackle in Week 1, was a full go at practice. Joining Jones with a full practice was receiver Jahdae Walker, who had been dealing with an illness.

It is also worth mentioning here that two new names have been added to the Bears injury report. Cornerback Jaylon Jones and linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga appear on Wednesday’s injury report after not being on Tuesday’s list. Ogbongbemiga joins defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson and defensive lineman Joe Tryon-Shoyinka in concussion protocol. Additionally, cornerback Jaylon Jones pops on the injury report as a limited participant with an ankle injury.

We have just one more Bears injury report update left in the week. I hope it comes with good news.
