Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 6, the legendary guitarist marked exactly 51 years to the day since a 1975 concert in Boston, Mass., was unexpectedly canceled due to an "incident" involving ticket sales.
Sharing photos of masses of fans storming the outside of the former Boston Garden venue, Page recalled, "On this day in 1975, I planned to play Boston Garden with @ledzeppelin. I discovered that there had been an incident at the Box Office at Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts that had involved a sale / non-sale of tickets to thousands of fans."
View this post on InstagramPage, however, wasn't clued in on the entirety of the situation until later on.
"I can't imagine how much it would have sucked to have been this close to seeing Zeppelin and having the gig cancelled. ?" one Instagram user wrote in the comments.
Page never did get to play at the Boston Garden after that, as the historic venue was torn down in 1995, and replaced with the Fleet Center (now called the TD Garden).
The '95 show seemed to be worth the wait for a number of Page's fans, including one commenter on Instagram who wrote, "I was at The Fleet Center. It was amazing."
