There’s another head coaching vacancy in the NFL, and a new top head coaching candidate at the same time this afternoon. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Baltimore Ravens and long-time head coach John Harbaugh have mutually agreed to part ways.

According to Rapoport, Ravens GM Eric DeCosta informed the team on Tuesday afternoon that the franchise and Harbaugh have decided to part ways. Harbaugh has been at the helm in Baltimore for 18 seasons.
During his tenure, the Ravens have posted a 180-113 record, made the playoffs 12 times, won the AFC North six times, and won a Super Bowl. Harbaugh’s 13 playoff wins are tied for the seventh most all-time, and his eight playoff victories are the most by any head coach in NFL history.
The Ravens missed the playoffs this season after losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night on a missed Tyler Loop field goal attempt.
With Harbaugh entering the fray, teams will now have to re-shuffle their big boards. The Giants, Titans, Falcons, Cardinals, Browns, and Raiders are all teams outside the Ravens that are searching for a new head coach.
