At Station 106 on Roscoe Boulevard in West Hills, Christmas trees are being turned in and then sent to Los Angeles Sanitation & Environment where the trees are turned into free mulch for Los Angeles residents. The mulch is also used by the city for landscaping and parks.

Another way to recycle your Christmas tree is by using LA Sanitation’s curbside collection. Residents can put their Christmas trees in their green yard trimming bins on the regular pick-up collection day, after removing all ornaments and cutting the tree into pieces that fit in the bin.
