ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Cloudy skies with a bit of fog or mist to start Tuesday then some steadier rain arrives this afternoon. Grab the umbrella and wet weather gear before heading out. Temperatures today will climb to near 40 so just plain rain on the way. That combined with some melting will lead to lots of puddles and areas of slush in some driveways and parking lots. Rain amounts not enough for any flooding concerns. Showers continue Tuesday night but end as a little wet snow Wednesday morning with temps falling back towards the freezing mark. At this time not anticipating any issues for driving in the morning so Threat Tracker will remain green.
The much talked about January thaw will arrive on Thursday with a very nice day expected. Some breaks of sun and temperatures jumping well into the 40s, maybe near 50 degrees. Milder for Friday but plan on some showers returning for the end of the week. Need to watch the weekend as a large storm moves through the Great Lakes with showers and mild weather Saturday followed by windy and colder conditions with snow showers Sunday. Stay tuned to News10NBC for latest updates on impacts for weekend plans.
