The USC football program added four-star sophomore receiver Terrell Anderson to its 2026 transfer class as it undergoes a rebuild of the receiving corps.
Anderson has an NIL value of $531,000 according to on3.com and officially committed to USC on Monday, which was the fourth day that the transfer portal window was open.
He is the fourth player to commit to USC out of the portal behind cornerback Jontez Williams, linebacker Deven Bryant and cornerback Carrington Pierce.
Anderson spent his first two seasons of college football at North Carolina State, where he finished the 2025 season with 39 catches for 629 yards and five touchdowns. He was the leading receiver on a Wolfpack team that went 8-5 this season to finish seventh in the ACC.
USC lost two of its starting receivers to the 2026 NFL Draft in Biletnikoff Award winner Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane. The third starter, Tanook Hines, was one of the first players to re-sign with the Trojans after the regular season came to a close.
Longstreet brother expected to enter portal
Kevin Longstreet is expected to enter the transfer portal, according to reports. The sophomore cornerback wouldn’t dramatically upset the balance of the USC defense if he left, but the offense could suffer if his brother, Husan, decided to join him in the portal.
Husan was the backup quarterback to Jayden Maiava this season as a freshman and got into four games. He completed 13 of 15 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown while rushing for another 76 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.
Maiava will be returning to USC next season, which means Longstreet will be in a similar role. There are rumors that the younger Longstreet brother will enter the portal, but nothing is official yet.
Back in late November, Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley told reporters that there’s incentive to stay at USC.
“This day and age, we understand some people have patience and some people don’t,” Riley said. “This would be – for any player, especially a quarterback – I don’t know that this would be the right time to leave this place. This thing’s getting pretty good and a lot of people recognize that.”
Abasiri re-signs
USC announced in a social media post on Monday that defensive lineman Jide Abasiri had re-signed with the Trojans and will return next season.

“Let’s run it back!!” Abasiri posted in an Instagram story that also featured an image of Dragon Ball Z characters Goku and Vegeta giving a thumbs up to each other.
Abasiri is a promising, versatile prospect who can be used in multiple ways in the Trojans’ defense. The 6-foot-5, 295-pound sophomore was a regular on the two-deep depth chart and had 26 total tackles, four tackles for a loss of 24 yards and a forced fumble during a breakout 2025 season.
