Damascus, Jan. 4 (SANA) Three rockets fired by unidentified assailants struck the Mezzeh district of the Syrian capital Damascus on Saturday evening, with no casualties reported.
One rocket hit the dome of al-Mohammadi Mosque, another struck the telecommunications building, causing material damage, while a third landed near Mezzeh Airport, the Damascus Media Directorate said in a statement.
It added that the Damascus Emergency Directorate worked to repair the damage and secure the area, while internal security forces surveyed the site, assessed the situation, and monitored the location from which the rockets were launched.
Unidentified attackers had previously targeted the vicinity of Mezzeh military airport with rockets on 9 December, also without causing casualties.
