ROCHESTER, N.Y. – We will continue to see below freezing temperatures and snowflakes flying at times this weekend. No significant accumulations, however. Today it will get up to the mid 20s but feel like the mid teens at best, with most snow falling north of Rt. 104 this afternoon. An inch or two is possible there; a dusting at the most elsewhere.
Tonight a clipper system brings some widespread light snow with minimal accumulation, then tomorrow that is replaced by more lake effect snow southeast of Lake Ontario which will bring additional but minor accumulations. By the time the weekend is over, there will be 2-5″ of fresh snow along the lakeshore and a dusting to 2″ elsewhere.
Our weather pattern stays active through next week but temperatures will rise above freezing and possibly well into the 40s by late next week. Monday will feature snow there but multiple chances for rain as the week goes on. None of the weather expected next week will be severe or significant however, so Green on the Threat Tracker all the way through at this time.
Stay tuned for updates on the forecast.
