Tartous, Jan. 1 (SANA) A new stroke division opened at Tartous National Hospital with support from the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) to treat Syrian patients with stroke-related conditions.
Assistant Director of Tartous Health for Medical Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Najm, told SANA that the new division will help improve care for patients suffering from strokes. He added that SAMS’s support will include training medical staff to intervene promptly and provide follow-up care.
Last September, four divisions were opened at the hospital following renovations, including emergency care, burns, dialysis, and cardiac catheterization.
SAMS is a non-profit humanitarian medical organization that provides healthcare and medical education in Syria and neighboring countries, with the aim of supporting communities affected by humanitarian crises.
