New England Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore has been accused of domestic assault, which allegedly occurred in front of his two-year-old daughter.
Barmore, 26, was charged with one count of assault and battery on a family/household member, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly.
The alleged attack happened in August, when a woman who identified as being in a relationship with the NFL star — and also as the mother of his daughter, who was born in July 2023 — said the two got into an argument at the Mansfield, Massachusetts, home of Barmore, where she had stayed “on and off” throughout their roughly three-and-a-half-year relationship.
When Barmore woke up around 7 a.m., he allegedly “became angry because the air conditioning was set at 70 degrees and he wanted it at 68 degrees.”

The woman said she tried to “avoid” Barmore for the rest of the day because he was “in a bad mood.”
Later in the day, after Barmore asked the woman “why she was eating his food,” she decided to pack her belongings and leave the residence.
While speaking on the phone with her mother as she prepared to leave, Barmore allegedly “took the phone out of her hand and disconnected the call.”
Barmore allegedly refused to return her phone, which caused the woman to attempt to scream for help.
“[Barmore] grabbed her before she could and threw her to the floor,” the documents stated.
When she attempted to get up, Barmore allegedly “grabbed her by the shirt in the area of her neck.”
Moments later, as she was attempting to pack and leave again, the woman claimed Barmore “rushed at her but didn’t make any contact.”
“[The woman] said her daughter tried to jump into her arms when this happened and believed that is the only reason [Barmore] didn’t touch her,” the documents said.
After finally making her way out of the residence, the woman and her daughter used a Patriots’ car service to drive them all the way to Delaware.
According to the report, the woman provided photographic evidence of bruises from being thrown to the floor.
The New England Patriots addressed the allegations against Barmore on Wednesday, December 31.

“The Patriots were made aware at the time of the incident and informed the NFL in a timely manner,” the franchise said in a statement. “The matter remains part of an ongoing legal process. We will respect that process, continue to monitor the situation closely, as we have over the past few months, and cooperate fully with the league. We will have no further comment at this time.”
Barmore is set to be arraigned on February 3, five days before Super Bowl LIX. The Patriots have clinched a playoff spot and will begin the postseason next month.
