Kaylee Daniell

“I’m BEYOND excited to announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic careers at Tulane University! I would like to thank God for his countless blessings, my parents for their unwavering support, Coach Kevin for always believing in me and never letting me loose sight of my potential, and everyone who has supported me along the way. I am so grateful to all involved in this process and am blessed to have achieved my dream of becoming a Division 1 athlete. A special thanks to Coach Amanda and Coach Canaan for this incredible opportunity!!! ROLL WAVE #NOLA #BABYWAVE”

Daniell hails from Charlotte. A senior at Charlotte Country Day School, she contributed to CCDS’s team title at the 2025 North Carolina Independent Schools Division I State Championships last February with a 4th-place finish in the 50 free (24.22), and a 5th in the 100 free (52.11). In addition, she was a member of CCDS’s winning 200 and 400 freestyle relays (splits of 23.88/ 51.23, respectively). Her best flat-start times in the 50/100 come from the 2024 NCISAA Division I State Championships, when she clocked in with 23.73 and 51.57.

A week after high school states, Daniell competed at the 2025 North Carolina LSC Short Course Senior Championships, placing 10th in the 50 free (24.04), 12th in the 100 free (52.38), 7th in the 200 free (1:52.28), and 14th in the 100 back (58.18). She notched PBs in the 200 free and 100 back.

A month later, Daniell kicked off long-course season at Indy Sectionals, leaving with a PB in the 100 free (58.95). She was just off her lifetime bests in the 50 free (27.60), 200 free (2:10.08), and 100 back (1:09.09).

Best SCY times:

50 free – 23.73 100 free – 51.57 200 free – 1:52.28 100 back – 58.18 200 back – 2:08.63

Emma Barr

“I’m extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic careers at Tulane University!! I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches for their overwhelming support along the way. Finally, thanks to Coach Amanda and Coach Canaan for this amazing opportunity. I am incredibly thankful and happy for this next chapter! ROLL WAVE #NOLABUILT”

Barr is from Mooresville, where she attends Lake Norman High School. She specializes in mid-range freestyle, fly, and IM. At the 2025 NCHSAA 4A State Championships, she swam the 200 free individually and contributed to Lake Norman’s runner-up 200 medley relay (26.42 fly leg) and 3rd-place 200 free relay (24.69).

Like Daniell, Barr followed up her junior-year high school season at the North Carolina LSC Short Course Senior Championships. She finaled in the 200 back (20th), 100 fly (18th), 200 fly (29th), 100 IM (27th), 200 IM (19th), and 400 IM (25th) and updated her lifetime bests in the 100 back (1:00.26), 200 back (2:07.04), 100 IM (1:01.07), 200 IM (2:10.92), and 400 IM (4:33.91). In March, she dropped another 1.9 seconds in the 200 IM (2:09.03).

Best SCY times:

100 fly – 57.46 200 fly – 2:09.28 200 back – 2:07.04 100 free – 52.93 200 free – 1:52.82 200 IM – 2:09.03 400 IM – 4:33.91

Barr and Daniel will join Audrey Deras, Franchesca Sanchez, and Tamara Elekes in the Tulane class of 2030. The Green Wave placed 3rd out of 6 teams at the 2025 American Swimming and Diving Championship. Daniell’s best 200 free time would have made the ‘B’ final, while her 50/100 free and 100 back times would have scored in their respective ‘C’ finals. Barr would have scored in the ‘C’ finals of the 100 fly, 100 free, 200 free, 200 IM, and 400 IM.
