Three people were killed during a US air-strike on a suspected “narco drug-trafficking convoy”, military officials have said.
The air strike was conducted on 30 December and authorised by Secretary of War, Peter Hegseth, US Southern Command said.
“These vessels were operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations in international waters.
“Intelligence confirmed the vessels were transiting along known narco-trafficking routes and had transferred narcotics between the three vessels prior to the strikes,” US Southern Command said.
