New NFL-FCS Showcase Aims to Increase Draft Exposure of Leading Senior Prospects ...Middle East

News by : (The Analyst) -

The NFL-FCS Showcase will debut over national championship weekend, seeking to increase exposure of senior draft-eligible prospects.

Over 30 FCS-level senior standouts have accepted invitations to an inaugural showcase with NFL teams as part of the national championship game in Nashville, Tennessee.

The new event on Sunday and Monday is a joint effort between the American Football Coaches Association, the NFL and the NCAA. The 2026 NFL Draft-eligible prospects can interview with NFL team representatives and participate in some limited on-field drills.

NFL clubs were asked to nominate prospects to evaluate at the showcase. A number of them were named to the Stats Perform FCS All-America Team earlier this month.

Included in the NFL-FCS Showcase are Montana State defensive tackle Paul Brott and running back Julius Davis and Illinois State wide receiver Daniel Sobkowicz, whose teams will meet in the 2025 FCS championship game Monday night at FirstBank Stadium.

The 2026 NFL Draft will be held from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.

The AFCA board of directors includes two highly successful former FCS head coaches, North Dakota State’s national championship-winning coach Craig Bohl, the executive director, and South Dakota’s Bob Nielson, the director of divisional football.

The FCS draft selections include those who played one final season as a transfer to the FCS level.
