BATAVIA, N.Y. — National Grid is handing out dry ice and bottled water in areas being hit the hardest by the storm.
The supplies will be handed out in Genesee, Erie, and Niagara counties from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday. In Genesee County, the dry ice and water will be handed out at the Batavia Fire Department on Evans Street.
People are asked to bring a cooler or paper grocery bag to carry and transport the dry ice to their homes. Company personnel will give information on how to properly handle the ice when handing it out.
