GENEVA, N.Y. — A Geneva man is facing felony charges after officers said a dog was shot and killed inside his apartment.
Geneva Police officers responded around 7:20 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, to South Main Street in Geneva after neighbors reported hearing loud popping noises.
Inside Jason M. Bunnell’s apartment, officers found a dead dog, a broken window, multiple bullet holes in the floor, and shell casings. Several long guns and handguns were also discovered in the apartment.
Bunnell — who police said had been seen in the roadway on South Main Street, acting strangely and bleeding — was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. He is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment, officials said. He was taken to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
