ROCHESTER, N.Y. — If you’re traveling by train out of Rochester on Friday after Christmas, beware of some delays due to winter weather.

We’ve issued a Yellow Alert for widespread, heavy snow on Friday afternoon and evening across the Rochester region. Other parts of the northeast are expecting to get slammed with snow as well, which could make travel difficult.

For Amtrak trains heading from the Louise Slaughter Station in Rochester to Penn Station in New York City on Friday, two of the three train times are listed as “delayed”. For trains heading from Rochester to North Station in Boston, two of the three times are also listed as “delayed”.
