ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two local groups, “People’s Choice” and “Service the Community,” gave out toys at the Vision Beauty School on North Clinton Avenue on Tuesday. Both groups have been hosting a series of angel tree toy giveaways throughout December.
“Each child in different area deserves a toy, wake up on Christmas with a toy, hard with these single parents, I think so, growing up extremely poor,” said Evangela Stanley, owner of People’s Choice Kitchen.
“When Van asks, a lot of unfortunate kids, so when she asked we have the space, I’m happy to do it,” said Kenisha June, owner of Vision School of Beauty.
This is the sixth year of the Angel Tree Toy Giveaway, which has grown from 100 toys handed out to more than 600.
