The Rochester community celebrated the victory of light over darkness during the eight nights of Hanukkah, which ran from Sunday, Dec. 14, through Monday, Dec. 22.
There were public menorah lightings all over the Rochester area, celebrating the Jewish holiday that honors the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. The holiday also celebrates religious freedom, marking the victory of the Maccabees over their occupiers. You can see our coverage here.
