SOUTH BRISTOL, N.Y. — The fates of the nation’s top skiers were decided at Bristol Mountain, which hosted the 2025 Freestyle Aerials Contest on Monday night.
The competition determined who will represent Team USA at the Domestic World Cup in Utah this January. That event will serve as the qualifiers for the Winter Olympics in Italy.
John Kroetz, Bristol Mountain’s freestyle coach, expressed pride in the athletes’ progress.
“So, a number of these athletes here actually went up through our program, so I’ve coached them since they were six, seven, eight years old,” Kroetz said. “And to see them at this level where they’re jumping off huge jumps, doing single and even double backflips, is pretty exciting.”
There are only four slots available for the games in Utah. Officials expect to announce the team selections on Tuesday.
