OAKLAND — A 30-year-old Pittsburg man was shot multiple times Sunday morning in the Uptown district, authorities said. His condition was not immediately available. The shooting happened about 3:25 a.m. near the intersection of 18th Street and Telegraph Avenue. Police responding to a gunshot detection system alert found the man, who had been shot at least twice. He was taken to a hospital. Police were trying to determine a motive for the shooting and whether the man was shot by someone in a passing vehicle or by someone who confronted him on the street.
