PENFIELD, N.Y. — Tuscany Lane in Penfield was shutdown for awhile as Webster Police and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office investigated a mental health crisis.
According to Sgt. Brendan Hurley, it started at around 1 p.m. Wednesday when Webster Police got a call about a mental health crisis.
After looking in Webster, authorities found the man on Tuscany Lane in Penfield. Hurley says no guns or weapons were involved.
“We weren’t 100% sure what we had, so you always want to err on the side of caution and make sure everyone is safe. So we inconvenienced some people, but we did it to make sure everyone was ok,” said Hurley.
MCSO’s Forensic Investigation Team is checking on the man and making sure he’s not a threat to himself or others.
Deputies are still investigating, but it doesn’t appear any laws were broken.
