The Greeley Bears 8U Mites hit the road for the annual Winterfest Jamboree in Littleton, as they were one of multiple Greeley Bears/Greeley Youth Hockey Association teams to compete in some club hockey action this past weekend.
The 10U Gold Bears played host to the Denver Junior Pioneers in the Ice Haus in Greeley, walking away with a strong 13-0 win. Liam Kostrewa, Kaleb Betz, Odin Salisbury, Aleck Moshure, Samuel Sjosttedt, Jackson Harding and Joel Byczkowski scored goals for the Bears. Greeley goaltender Bradley Evans secured the shutout.
The Greeley’s 10U Blue team played host to the Hyland Hills Jaguars and came from behind to win 3-2. The Bears received clutch goals from Jaxon Warner and Kane Kovtynovich.
The 12U Blue Bears picked up a 6-2 win against the Hyland Hills Jaguars at the Ice Centre in Westminster on Sunday. The Bears came out strong and kept the pace throughout the game, as Alexander Rohnke, Benjamin Rosales, Wesly Bean and Cole Miller each scored goals.
The Greeley Bears/GYHA is an affordable, nonprofit, recreational club for young athletes, 5 to 18 years old. It plays in the Colorado Recreational Hockey League and is an affiliate of the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association. It is also a member of USA Hockey.
