Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride owns another NFL record with his latest touchdown against the Houston Texans.

Extending his streak of games with at least five receptions to 16 on Sunday behind a two-yard touchdown snag, McBride surpassed Kansas City’s Travis Kelce (15) for the longest such streak by a tight end in NFL history.

McBride now just needs two more catches to set another NFL first for a tight end with back-to-back 100-catch seasons. He would also join Kelce as the only TEs in history with at least 100 catches in multiple seasons.

This isn’t the first NFL record set by McBride in 2025, either, surpassing Jimmy Graham (301) for the most catches by a tight end in their first four seasons.

Additionally, McBride tied Hall of Famer Jackie Smith for the most touchdowns in a single season by a tight end with nine.

McBride continues to be one of the main bright spots in an otherwise dark Cardinals season. Putting up All-Pro numbers, McBride entered play on Sunday tied with Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua for the most receptions (93) and paces all NFL tight ends in receiving yards (937) and touchdowns (eight).

And if McBride can keep up his historic pace the rest of the way, he would set a new NFL record for catches by a tight end with 121.

What other record is Trey McBride closing in on?

Two more and McBride would mark the first Cardinals player to record double-digit TDs since Larry Fitzgerald did so in 2013.
