ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Crews battled an attic fire at a vacant house on the city’s northeast side Friday afternoon.

The Rochester Fire Department responded to Weigel Alley at around 4:30 p.m. Friday. When crews got there, they saw smoke coming from the side of a boarded up house. They say they quickly discovered a fully involved attic fire.

The fire was put out within 20 minutes. RFD says there were no injuries and nobody was inside at the time of the fire.
