Jamestown, CA – Lake Tulloch Campground & Marina is closed immediately and permanently.
The shutdown, according to the operators, is due to conditions beyond their control, making ongoing safe and financially sustainable operations impossible. The marina is one of the primary public access sites to the lake, as private homes and marinas control the majority of the lake’s north shore access. The announcement today by management for the site came with little warning to the public.
“We understand that this news will come as a significant disappointment. It has been our privilege to serve families, visitors, and community members who helped make this place special,” shared management in a social media posting.
The Tri-Dam Project built Lake Tulloch, also referred to as Tulloch Reservoir. No further details are being released at this time, with the entire statement posted on their website below:
Dear Lake Tulloch Community,
It is with deep regret that we share the following announcement regarding the future of Lake Tulloch Campground & Marina.
Unfortunately, circumstances outside of our control have made it impossible for us to continue providing services in a safe, financially viable, and compliant manner. As a result, Lake Tulloch RV Campground & Marina will be closing to the public permanently, effective immediately.
We understand that this news will come as a significant disappointment. It has been our privilege to serve the families, visitors, and community members who helped make this place special. We are sincerely grateful for your support and for the many memories created here.
As we close out our operations at the property, for inquiries related to the future use, management, or status of the campground property, please direct questions to the County of Tuolumne or the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. We appreciate your understanding, as we are unable to provide additional details or engage in further discussion at this time.
On behalf of our entire team, thank you for being part of this place. We share in your disappointment and appreciate your patience and kindness as we bring our operations to a close.
With gratitude,
Lake Tulloch Campground & Marina Management
