The second Chicago Bears injury report of the week is out.
On the one hand, it is more of the same from the Bears injury report. And, frankly, that is a good thing. But on the other hand, it is more of the same from the Bears injury report. And, unfortunately, it isn’t all good news.

— Bears Communications (@BearsPR) December 11, 2025Let’s discuss Thursday’s up
The Trib’s Brad Biggs (via Twitter/X) reports the Bears practiced outdoors on Thursday. This comes one day after having a Wednesday walk-through. Limited participants in Thursday’s practice include wide receiver Rome Odunze (foot), cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (hip), and wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus (hamstring). Dealing with injuries this time of year is tough enough. But working through foot, hip, and hamstring injuries this time of year sounds awful. And while I find it encouraging that each of these players are practicing in some capacity, I hope the team plays it cautiously as Odunze, Stevenson, and Zaccheaus work their way back from injury. I am curious to see what Friday’s Bears injury report update looks like for this trio.HOW COLD WILL IT GET FOR SUNDAY’S BEARS GAME VS. THE BROWNS?
Cornerback Kyler Gordon (groin) and running back Travis Homer (ankle) did not practice. Back-to-back DNPs for Gordon and Homer put their availablity for the team’s Week 15 game against the Cleveland Browns in jeopardy. I find it doubtful that either will play, especially with Bears Head Coach Ben Johnson saying this (via CHGO) regarding the Gordon injury situation: “To be determined. … Coming out of that one, he didn’t look really good.” My read on the situation is that this is a pretty serious groin injury. And since this isn’t Gordon’s first injury-related absence, I expect to see his name on the Bears injury report until further notice. Bummer. Gordon was supposed to be a key piece in this defensive puzzle. And yet, the injury bug has made him a non-factor.LISTEN TO THE BLEACHER NATION BEARS PODCAST: Apple | Spotify | YouTube
To end on a high note: Cornerback Jaylon Johnson (groin) and linebacker Ruben Hyppoite II (shoulder) were full participants in Thursday’s practice. Unless we see an unexpected turn of events, I expect both players to suit up on Sunday against the Browns. Let’s keep an eye on Johnson’s snap share as he enters his third week back from his stint on injured reserve. Jaylon was on the field for 61.1 percent of the team’s defensive snaps in the Bears’ Black Friday win against the Philadelphia Eagles. He increased that number to 66 percent against the Green Bay Packers in Week 15. The snap totals saw a slight uptick, too, as Johnson went from 33 snaps against the Eagles to 35 snaps against the Packers. Jaylon appears to be on a pitch count. But having Johnson for some snaps is better than not having Johnson at all.
