PITTSFORD, N.Y. — Volunteers teamed up Tuesday to help deployed service members send love home for the holiday season. Full Circle Home in Pittsford packaged more than 13,000 gifts into “Twelve Days of Christmas” gift sets.
Each box included a handwritten love note from a troop to their hero at home. This season, 1,200 gift sets were being sent out, with 125 of them going to injured and healing service members at Walter Reed last week.
“I think everybody is very grateful for our service members… should always be acknowledged… in a way for them to show their love… it’s really a full circle,” said Vickie Durfee, executive director at Full Circle Home.
