According to a Facebook post by the credit union, it says in some cases, the scammers will call repeatedly until someone picks up.

Scammers will claim to be ESL employees, and share a partial credit or debit card number before asking for more information.

ESL says it would never call you to share sensitive information over the phone or text message. Anyone with questions or concerns is asked to call ESL directly at 585-336-1000.
