ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The New York State School Music Association’s All-State Festival and Winter Conference is set to take place in Rochester this weekend.
News10NBC was present to witness the instrumental jazz band practice at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.
“It’s definitely humbling but it’s also very rewarding because I get to be inspired by the other musicians, and when you play with a band that’s really good, it just elevates you,” said pianist Ethan Borda.
Students will perform concerts throughout the weekend at Eastman Theater. The jazz ensemble is scheduled to perform at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Theater at Innovation Square.
